This NICU Mama pin makes a wonderful keepsake for mums of premature babies to celebrate their NICU warriors. I chose to base the pin design on a crochet fiddle octopus - many NICU mums will recognise these toys, which are given to premature babies to provide comfort as their twirly tentacles remind them of the placenta and help to prevent them from pulling out their monitors and tubes. These pins are:

My little niece was the inspiration behind this pin design, she was born at 32 weeks and spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is now a bright and wonderful 5 year old who is thriving in her first year at school!

Well what can I say?! I didn’t know I needed this pin until I saw it. It is made from such good quality materials, ordering was super easy and delivery was super quick.
